The other day I saw two green chairs, exactly like the one I already had, sitting by a dumpster. I pulled over, checked them out, and the only damage was to the back. Actually, that’s where mine was broken too, so free chairs!
I’m surprised someone would throw these away? They aren’t in perfect condition, but still very useable. So they’ll get a new life at my house at least. Funnily enough, my chair is the dirtiest one. :p.
Free stuff is the best stuff.

I picked up an LL Bean wooden adirondack chair at the dump a few years ago. One of the pieces was broken off 5" from the top, affecting the usability of the chair exactly zero. I grabbed it and used it happily for probably 3 or 4 more years. I could have even salvaged it further but free is free and it will go nicely on my next bonfire. All wood, not plastic.

I usually sit in the green chair to keep an eye on the fire when I burn leaves. It's really comfy. I sit in it when I have to add more line to the weed whacker as well. It's just a useful chair! :).

I find those are fantastic as long as you weigh under 200lbs. Which I certainly do, but just sayin’

I was gonna say cheap, but sure, we can go with green.

I had two exactly like that. I kept them outside in the sun and one day I sat down and my ass went through the chair.
Steel or wood outdoor furniture for now on :)

Then I’ll use them until they die! That was the plan from the beginning anyways, :).

I worked in a campground for the last few summers. The amount of “lightly broken" equipment thrown out is ridiculous.

Actually, the dumpsters I got it from were from a campground, so I know exactly what you mean, lol.
There was a lawn mower too, and I was tempted, but MrsZtp would be furious if i brought home another one. I have a total of three push ones, and only one works.

She’ll be happy if you fix up the ones you have and sell them tho!

I don’t often even look inside the dumpsters. They’re bear-proof so I only open them if I have something to put inside. I just see what people leave beside them. I also don’t have a huge need for large quantities of camping gear, so I usually only grab something if it’s in particularly good condition.

Yeah, I got a 2nd one for free (good engine, bad body), and got the third one for free because it was an identical engine. Unfortunately, the third is missing a lot of body parts, and the body style is completely different so I can’t really mix and match (my original plan).
So....up a creek without a paddle. Eh, at least the first one runs...it just doesn't turn off. That's like a win in my book...or something...

These chairs were on the side as well. It was a interesting drive home since I haphazardly threw them into the trunk of my Grand Prix, and drove home a quarter mile away with my hazards on, on a very bumpy road with a incline, lol.

Or just sell the 2 engines and scrap metal the bodies on them?

Sure, if I wanted the easy way out, :).

My wife went and grabbed two chairs our neighbors had set out by the curb. It turned out to be okay(they were free) but they have cracks in the bottom so they’re going to go eventually and they don’t actually match the two we already got for free, so they don’t all stack nicely when I mow or we want to move them.
Someone about these green chairs must compel people to discard them for free.
